Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha ➝ Tarangire National Park

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your Arusha hotel. After meeting your friendly guide and chef, your journey heads toward Tarangire National Park, often called “The Home of Giants” thanks to its massive elephant populations.

Highlights of the Day

  • Thousands of elephants moving gracefully between ancient baobab trees
  • Big cats such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards
  • Herds of zebra, wildebeest, giraffes, impalas, and more
  • Picnic lunch overlooking the Tarangire River

After an afternoon game drive, you’ll make your way to Mto wa Mbu for your first night of camping. Fall asleep to the sounds of nature and wake up to the early calls of birds.

Day 2: Mto wa Mbu ➝ Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, the journey continues across the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on toward the endless plains of the legendary Serengeti National Park.

En route stops

  • Ngorongoro Crater Viewpoint – a breathtaking panorama 600m above the crater floor
  • Optional Maasai Village Visit – learn about the traditions of the Maasai people

Entering the Serengeti feels like stepping into the world’s greatest wildlife documentary. Covering over 14,750 km², the Serengeti is home to:

  • Over 1.5 million wildebeest
  • 250,000 zebras
  • Predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, and cheetahs

Arrive in Seronera for a late-afternoon game drive—one of the best times to spot big cats as the temperature cools. Then settle into Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti ➝ Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Start your morning with a magical sunrise game drive—a must-experience moment in the Serengeti. As the golden light stretches across the plains, predators return from their night hunt while herbivores begin their daily migration in search of water.

Enjoy a hearty brunch back at camp before beginning your journey out of Serengeti with a game drive en route. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite, perched on the crater rim with spectacular views.

Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour ➝ Mto wa Mbu

Prepare for one of the most iconic safari experiences on Earth.

After breakfast, descend 650 meters into the heart of the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often referred to as the “Garden of Eden.”

What makes the crater special?

  • A natural enclosure home to over 25,000 animals
  • One of the best places in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhino
  • Year-round water sources attracting lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, and hippos
  • Unique landscape combining forests, lakes, savannah, and swamps

Enjoy your picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater wall and heading back to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park ➝ Arusha

Your final day features the lush beauty of Lake Manyara National Park, known for:

  • Thousands of flamingos lining the lakeshore
  • Famous tree-climbing lions
  • Hippo pools and hot springs
  • Forests filled with monkeys, baboons, and vibrant birdlife

After a rewarding final game drive, return to Arusha with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s greatest parks.
