Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kilimanjaro
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be greeted by our Kiliclimb Africa Safaris representative and transferred to your comfortable hotel. Relax and enjoy warm hospitality, cozy rooms, a refreshing pool, and stunning views.
Evening: Pre-climb briefing with your guide to review the adventure ahead, gear essentials, and acclimatization tips.
Day 2: Drive to High-Altitude Drop-Off & Trek to Shira 1 Camp
After a hearty breakfast, depart for Londorossi Gate and drive up to your high-altitude starting point. From here, embark on your first trek across the spectacular Shira Plateau. The gentle climb helps your body start acclimatizing while offering panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s northern slopes.

- Evening: Enjoy a warm dinner and rest in our well-prepared tents under the stars.
Day 3: Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp
Begin the day with a scenic trek to Shira 2 Camp, gradually ascending to higher altitudes. Along the way, admire the unique flora, including giant lobelias and senecios, and, if weather permits, catch glimpses of Mount Meru.

Day 4: Shira 2 to Moir Hut via Lava Tower
Today you’ll climb to Lava Tower (4,600 m), the highlight of your acclimatization process. After lunch at the tower, descend slightly to Moir Hut Camp, enjoying panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s rugged northern slopes.

Day 5: Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp
This day features a longer trek along the northern circuit. You’ll traverse gentle ups and downs, hiking along remote trails with spectacular views of the Tsavo and Amboseli valleys and even glimpses of Kenya’s plains. A peaceful night at Buffalo Camp awaits you.

Day 6: Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp
Continue your journey along Kilimanjaro’s northern ridge, where the terrain becomes gradually steeper. This shorter trekking day allows you to rest and further acclimatize before the final ascent. Stop at Third Cave Camp, where the Northern Circuit meets the classic Rongai route.

Day 7: Third Cave Camp to School Hut

Day 8: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak & Descent to Millennium Camp
