Full Itinerary
Day 0: Arrival & Pre-Climb Orientation
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, our friendly team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi, the gateway to Mount Kilimanjaro.
Later in the evening, join your lead mountain guide for a comprehensive climb briefing — covering your route details, safety, gear check, and preparation tips. Should you need extra gear, we’ll assist you with rentals before your adventure begins.
Overnight in Moshi (Hotel not included unless arranged with us)
Day 1: Moshi – Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp
After breakfast, depart for Londorossi Gate (about 3 hours by 4×4). After park registration, drive to Lemosho Glades and begin your trek through the lush montane forest, keeping an eye out for Colobus monkeys and colorful birds.
Reach Mti Mkubwa Camp (“Big Tree Camp”) by mid-afternoon.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa – Shira 1 Camp
As you climb higher, the trail opens into heather and moorland, revealing expansive views. Cross several small streams before reaching Shira Ridge and descending slightly to Shira 1 Camp, nestled on the Shira Plateau.

Day 3: Shira 1 – Moir Camp via Shira Plateau
A gentle morning trek across the Shira Plateau leads you to Shira 2 Camp, where you’ll pause for a break. Continue eastward into the Garden of the Senecios, surrounded by towering giant groundsels, before turning north toward Moir Camp, tucked beneath dramatic lava cliffs.

Day 4: Moir Camp – Buffalo Camp
Begin with a steep ascent out of the Moir Valley. Those with extra energy can make an optional detour to Little Lent Hill (4,375m) for breathtaking views. Continue along the Northern Circuit, passing undulating terrain and enjoying spectacular panoramas before arriving at Buffalo Camp.

Day 5: Buffalo Camp – Third Cave
Today’s route traverses the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro with moderate climbs and descents. Enjoy your lunch at Porfu Camp, then continue to Rongai Third Cave, arriving by mid-afternoon — a quieter and scenic campsite perfect for acclimatization.

Day 6: Third Cave – School Hut
Cross the vast Saddle, a lunar-like expanse between Kibo and Mawenzi peaks, before reaching School Hut — your final base before the summit push. Rest early after an early dinner, as you’ll begin your ascent to Uhuru Peak just before midnight.

Day 7: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak – Millennium Camp
Rise at 11:30 PM for hot tea and light snacks before starting the most demanding yet rewarding climb of your journey.
Ascend steadily toward Gilman’s Point (5,681m) and then traverse the crater rim to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) — the highest point in Africa!
Celebrate your achievement at sunrise, then begin your descent via Stella Point to Barafu Camp, continuing to Millennium Camp for a well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Millennium Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi
Enjoy your final breakfast on the mountain before descending through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your Kilimanjaro Summit Certificate.
Our team will be waiting to transfer you back to Moshi for a hot shower, celebration, and relaxation.
