Itinerary

The West Kilimanjaro Region

This thrilling day trip transports you to the western slopes of Kilimanjaro—one of the region’s most scenic and undisturbed cycling environments. After a 1.5-hour drive from Moshi in a comfortable 4×4 Jeep, you’ll arrive at the trailhead, where your biking adventure begins. The route is mostly flat yet wonderfully rugged, offering an authentic outdoor challenge.

Your ride is fully supported by a backup Jeep following behind, equipped with a ranger, first-aid kit, and your personal items. The guide leads from the front, ensuring your safety while helping you spot wildlife along the way.

On these plains, you may encounter resident species such as giraffes, warthogs, impalas, wildebeest, lesser kudu, and Grant’s gazelle. With a bit of luck, you might also witness passing herds of zebra, eland, buffalo, or even elephants using seasonal migration routes.
