From flamingo-painted alkaline lakes and legendary Rift Valley escarpments to ancient montane forests and sunlit savannas, Tanzania offers one of the highest bird diversities in Africa, recording well over 1,100 species, including numerous endemics and rare migrants. Whether you’re pursuing lifetime ticks, capturing elusive forest birds on camera, or witnessing migratory marvels that stretch across continents, Tanzania brings together every element that defines world-class birdwatching.
