Kiliclimb Africa Safaris is a locally owned and operated company, proudly based in the United Republic of Tanzania. With a deep commitment to offering authentic and sustainable safari experiences, we leverage our extensive local knowledge and expertise to provide our clients with unforgettable adventures in Tanzania.

Applicability of Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you, the Client, and Kiliclimb Africa Safaris (referred to as “the Company”). By booking a trip with us directly or through our partners, you automatically agree to be bound by these terms. This agreement covers all aspects of your safari experience, from booking through to the completion of your journey.

Our Commitments --We ensure that:

  • We hold all necessary licenses and permits to operate wildlife safaris and Kilimanjaro expeditions in Tanzania.
  • Our team consists of highly trained and experienced guides, drivers, and consultants, who are experts in their respective fields.
  • We accurately represent our services in all marketing materials, avoiding any exaggeration or misrepresentation.
  • Our operations positively impact the local communities in Tanzania, with a focus on fair employment practices and community development initiatives.

Handling Your Personal Information

To arrange your safari, we require certain personal details, such as your full name, age, nationality, passport information, dietary preferences, and medical conditions. This information is shared only with relevant authorities and service providers to ensure your safety and comfort during your trip.

Communication

To avoid any fraudulent activities, all official communications should be conducted through the following channels:

  • Email: Only emails from the info@kiliclimbafricasafaris.com domain are considered official.
  • Phone/WhatsApp: Use only the phone numbers listed on our official website.

If you suspect any fraudulent activity, please contact our office immediately.

Booking and Payment

The booking process begins once you contact our office. A dedicated travel consultant will work with you to plan your safari. After finalizing the details, you will receive an invoice to make a deposit, which confirms your booking. Full payment is required 14 days before your safari begins unless otherwise agreed. Failure to make timely payments may result in the cancellation of your booking, with applicable fees.

Prices

Once your booking is confirmed, the price is fixed unless there are government-imposed changes to taxes or park fees. In such cases, you may choose to either cancel your booking (with applicable cancellation policies) or agree to the price adjustment.

Changes to Itinerary

  • By the Client: Minor itinerary changes that do not incur additional costs will be accommodated. However, any extra costs resulting from changes must be covered by the Client. No refunds will be provided for missed services due to changes made by the Client.
  • By the Company: We reserve the right to make necessary changes to your itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather conditions) and will inform you promptly.

Cancellation Policies

By the Client:Cancellation fees vary depending on the notice period. Detailed fees are outlined below:

  •  $300 non-refundable deposit.
  • 10% cancellation fee if canceled more than 90 days before the start date.
  • 30% if canceled 60-89 days before the start date.
  • 50% if canceled 30-59 days before the start date.
  • 70% if canceled 8-29 days before the start date.
  • No refund if canceled 0-7 days before the start date. Any additional penalties from service providers exceeding these percentages will be deducted from your refund.

By the Company:  In the unlikely event that we cancel your safari, a full refund of any payments made will be issued.

Travel Requirement

Clients are responsible for ensuring that all travel documents, including passports and visas, are in order before entering Tanzania. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay and have sufficient blank pages for visas and stamps. We provide general visa advice, but it is your responsibility to confirm and comply with all entry requirements.

Accommodation

Hotel Accommodation: Prices for group departures include shared accommodations. Single supplements apply for solo travelers wishing to have their own room. We will notify you of any changes to accommodation due to availability and suggest alternatives before confirming your booking.

Tented Accommodation: On Kilimanjaro, you will share a tent with a fellow traveler of the same gender. Single tents are available at an extra cost, except on the Marangu route where park regulations do not permit single tented accommodation.

Fitness and Medical Information

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit for your safari or Kilimanjaro climb. We may require you to complete a medical form, signed by a licensed physician if necessary. Failure to provide accurate medical information may result in cancellation of your booking, with applicable cancellation fees.

Travel Insurance - Kiliclimb Africa Safaris

Travel insurance is mandatory for all participants. Your policy should cover emergency medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation, and high-altitude trekking, if applicable. We do not include insurance in our packages, so it is your responsibility to secure adequate coverage.

We strongly recommend that you are properly insured for the full duration of your tour. It is advisable to purchase insurance when you pay your deposit. Kiliclimb Africa Safaris will not be held responsible forthe loss of deposit or full payment, loss or damage to baggage and personal items (including camera equipment), personal injury or illness, medical expenses, or trip and flight cancellations.

Vaccinations

We advise consulting a licensed physician regarding necessary vaccinations before traveling to Tanzania. Our advice is general, and you should seek professional medical advice to ensure you meet all health requirements for your trip.

Authority of Our Guides

Our guides have the final say on all matters related to safety and expedition management during your safari or Kilimanjaro climb. Their decisions are final, and clients must adhere to their instructions for the safety of the group.

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that safaris and Kilimanjaro climbs involve inherent risks, including remote locations and wildlife encounters. By participating, you accept these risks and agree to release Kiliclimb Africa Safaris from any liability arising from injuries, damages, or losses.

Liability for Damaged Property

You will be held responsible for any willful damage or destruction of our property, including tents, vehicles, and equipment. Compensation must be settled before your departure from Tanzania

Responsibility for Accommodation and Air Travel

We carefully select our accommodation and air travel partners, but we are not liable for their performance. Your relationship with hotels and airlines will be governed by their respective terms and conditions.

Additional Expenses

You are responsible for covering incidental expenses, such as souvenirs, tips, and meals not included in your package. Kiliclimb Africa Safaris is not liable for any failure to cover these expenses.

Equipment for Kilimanjaro Climbs

Our Kilimanjaro packages include group camping equipment, but you are responsible for personal gear. We offer rental options for essential items, which must be returned in good condition

Wild Animals

Kiliclimb Africa Safaris, your adventure may bring you into close contact with wild animals. While such encounters are incredibly rare, it’s important to understand that no safari in the African wilderness can completely eliminate this possibility. We strongly advise you to follow all instructions provided by your guide or the accommodation staff at all times. Kiliclimb Africa Safaris and its employees cannot be held responsible for any injury or incident that may occur during the tour. Please note that most safari camps and lodges are unfenced. Do NOT leave children unattended at any time. Refrain from feeding any wild animals or birds, and avoid leaving food out in the open.

Alcohol and Drugs Policy - Kiliclimb Africa Safaris

Guests who are visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied participation in the tour without the right to a refund. If a guest is found to be under the influence during the activity, they may be removed and transported back to the pick-up point at their own expense. Additionally, guests will be held responsible for any costs resulting from intentional damage.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.

By booking a safari or Kilimanjaro climb with Kiliclimb Africa Safaris, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
