ITINERARY

Morning Pickup: Time 6:00 AM

Location: Your hotel in Arusha (lodge accommodation -Can be arranged at extra costs )

We’ll pick you up early in the morning and begin our drive toward Kilimanjaro National Park. Enjoy the scenic route that takes you through forested areas and up to the Londorosi Gate, where we handle all park entry formalities.

SHIRA PLATEAU HIKE WITH KILICLIMB AFRICA SAFARIS

From the Londorosi Gate, we continue up to the Murram Barrier, where your adventure begins at 3,500 meters (11,500 feet) above sea level. As you step onto the Shira Plateau, Kibo looms over the horizon, a striking reminder of Kilimanjaro’s grandeur. Your guide will take you on a route to explore Shira’s unique volcanic features, including the Shira Cathedral, volcanic cones, and the breathtaking northern glaciers (visibility permitting).

Picnic Lunch and Rest

After some exploration and hiking at your own pace, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch on the plateau, surrounded by the sounds of Tanzania’s wilderness. Unwind and breathe in the fresh highland air before continuing your journey.

Return to Arusha

After approximately 4 hours of moderate hiking, you’ll return to the Murram Barrier, where our vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Arusha, with an anticipated arrival at your hotel by late afternoon to early evening.
