Your adventure begins with a scenic drive through the highlands before arriving at the Empakaai rim. Here, accompanied by an experienced Kiliclimb Africa Safaris guide and a Ngorongoro Conservation Area ranger, you’ll descend on foot into the crater. The hike down takes about 30–45 minutes through lush montane forest filled with birds, butterflies, and occasional wildlife such as buffalo, bushbuck, and blue monkeys.
