Ideally positioned for the Great Migration calving season (December to March), the lodge offers immersive wildlife experiences, classic safari comfort, and prime access to predator-rich landscapes.
Tarangire Safari Lodge – Ndutu is situated in the wildlife-dense Ndutu region within the southern ecosystem of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This area forms part of the greater Serengeti migration corridor and is one of the most important seasonal wildlife destinations in East Africa.
Ndutu is world-famous for hosting the Great Migration calving season, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather on the short-grass plains to give birth between December and March. During this period, predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards are highly active, making it one of the most dramatic safari experiences in Africa.
The lodge is strategically located near Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, offering diverse landscapes including open plains, acacia woodlands, and soda lakes. This variety of habitats supports an abundance of wildlife year-round, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and resident big cats.
Tarangire Safari Lodge – Ndutu combines traditional safari ambiance with comfortable accommodations. Guests enjoy spacious tents or lodge-style rooms designed to blend naturally into the environment while providing essential comforts for a relaxing stay in the bush.
