Meet the founders Kiliclimb Africa Safaris is a family-owned, fully licensed safari company based in Arusha, Northern Tanzania, founded by Moses and Naite Saruni. Our unique and ethical approach to safari travel is rooted in their inspiring personal journeys.
Moses Yohanes began his tourism career on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, starting as a porter while pursuing his education. He advanced his expertise with postgraduate studies at Mweka Wildlife College and Tropical Center Institutes, becoming a qualified First Aid Instructor and a walking safari guide with rifle training. His extensive experience includes working with a range of companies, both large and small, in Tanzania and beyond.
Over the years, Moses observed a significant gap in the travel and tourism industry: many tour organizers lacked genuine experience or were foreigners who only knew Tanzania as a destination without truly understanding its parks and places. This realization led Moses and his wife, Naite Saruni, to establish Kiliclimb Africa Safaris. Their goal is to offer authentic and affordable safari experiences that reveal the true magic, nature, and beauty of Tanzania.
Naite Saruni, born and raised in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, faced and overcame significant challenges to pursue her dreams. Despite traditional Maasai restrictions on educational opportunities for girls, Naite left her home to study in Arusha, where she graduated from two colleges and worked as a primary school teacher and accountant.
She then partnered with Moses to create Kiliclimb Africa Safaris, bringing a compassionate and insightful perspective to their operations.
At Kiliclimb Africa Safaris, we prioritize your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Our fleet of specially fitted 4WD safari vehicles ensures a smooth journey with pop-up roofs for optimal wildlife viewing.
Each vehicle is equipped with charging stations, a large fridge stocked with beverages and water, and a comprehensive first aid kit. Our knowledgeable guides, who stay with you throughout your safari, use radios to keep you informed and address any issues promptly.
