During this period, the  southern Serengeti plains  and northern Ngorongoro transform into a vibrant hub of wildlife activity. Over 2 million wildebeest and zebras gather to graze on the nutrient-rich plains, and this is prime  calving season, with February being the peak month. Witness the extraordinary birth of over half a million wildebeest calves in a synchronized event, with up to 8,000 calves born in a single day. Day 0: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha, a Kiliclimb Africa Safaris representative will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a relaxing evening, preparing for the thrilling adventure ahead.

Day 1: Arusha to Central Serengeti (Fly-In)

Start your day with a morning flight from Arusha to the Serengeti National Park, landing at Seronera airstrip. From here, you’ll embark on a game drive through the Seronera River Circuit, a renowned spot for viewing lions and leopards. After a picnic lunch, continue your exploration of the Serengeti plains before settling into your lodge or camp.

Day 2: Serengeti to Ndutu (Ngorongoro Conservation Area)

Today, travel towards the Ndutu region, part of both the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the wildebeest calving season is in full swing. Enjoy a full-day game drive among large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The sweeping grasslands around Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek  offer a prime setting to witness the wonders of the migration.

Day 3: Full-Day in Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Experience another day of thrilling game drives in the Ndutu area, tracking the movements of the migration. In the afternoon, travel towards the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha (Drive-Out)

After a memorable morning of game viewing and a picnic lunch, ascend the crater walls and embark on the scenic drive back to Arusha.
